Welcome to the TEAS Chemistry Membership: 14-Week Intensive Prep Course!
Are you gearing up to take the TEAS exam and feeling anxious about the chemistry section? Youβre not alone! Our TEAS Chemistry Membership is a 14-week intensive prep course designed specifically for pre-nursing students who want to master the chemistry concepts and excel on the TEAS 7 exam.
What Youβll Learn:
Weeks 1-2: Introduction to Chemistry Basics- Crunching Numbers
Get familiar with the fundamental principles of chemistry that will serve as your foundation for the course. You will learn how to calculate significant digits, scientific notation and the Metric and English Conversion System. You will also be able to apply these concepts to density calculations, using the density formulas to solve for mass, volume and density in different units.
Weeks 3-4: Atomic Structure and the Periodic Table
Dive deep into the building blocks of matter, understand the structure of atoms, and explore the periodic table trends. You will also learn how to determine the properties of chemistry based upon physical and chemical changes and properties. You will also be able to determine the difference between a homogeneous and heterogeneous mixture.
Weeks 5-6: Chemical Bonding
Learn about ionic, covalent, and metallic bonds, and discover how molecules are formed and interact with each other. You will learn how to write chemical formulas, from 2 elements, to those compounds that have more than one charge and those that have polyatomic ionic charges.
Weeks 7-8: Stoichiometry and Chemical Reactions
Master the art of balancing chemical equations, understanding mole concepts, and performing stoichiometric calculations.
Weeks 9-10: Solutions and Solubility
Explore the properties of solutions, calculate concentrations, and understand the factors affecting solubility.
Week 11: Acids, Bases, and pH
Delve into the world of acids and bases, learn about the pH scale, and understand the importance of buffers in the human body.
Week 12: Thermodynamics and Gas Laws
Grasp the core concepts of thermodynamics, and learn how gas laws apply to real-life scenarios.
Week 13: Scientific Reasoning
This is the other part of the TEAS exam you must know. We will give you a BONUS week of learning all of the concepts you must have for this section to pass for this portion of the TEAS 7 Science exam.
Week 14: Comprehensive Review and Final Practice
Wrap up the course with a full review of all topics, take a practice test, and get last-minute tips to boost your confidence before exam day.
