Course Overview and Objectives

Welcome to the Floor, Future Nurse! 🩺

I am Professor TK, and I am so glad you’ve checked in for your clinical rotation here at the Chemistry to Scrubs Academy.

You aren't here to just memorize periodic trends or balance equations; you are here to master the "Clinical Gems" that will get you past the TEAS 7 and into those scrubs. Chemistry is often the "scary" section of the exam, but my job is to take that complex science and turn it into digestible, high-yield lessons you can actually use.

Before we start our first shift, here is your orientation:

  • The Stations: Each unit is a "Station" on our floor. We move from the basics of matter to the complexities of blood chemistry.
  • The Gems: Look for the "Professor TK Gems" in every lesson—these are the high-priority "Must-Knows" for exam day.
  • The Rounds: At the end of each station, we’ll do "Rounds" (quizzes) to make sure your knowledge is stable before we move to the next patient case.

What’s on the Schedule for this Rotation? Our goal is simple: To turn the "scary" chemistry section of the TEAS 7 into your highest-scoring category. To do that, we are moving beyond basic memorization and focusing on Clinical Chemistry.

By the time you clock out of this Academy, you will:

  • Master the High-Yield Gems: Identify exactly which 8 topics the TEAS 7 actually tests (and ignore the fluff that doesn't matter).
  • Think Like a Clinician: Apply chemistry principles to real-world nursing scenarios, from IV dilutions to blood pH balance.
  • Boost Your Testing Vitals: Use our "Chemistry Rounds" (Practice Quizzes) to build the critical thinking speed you need for exam day.

Are you ready to claim your scrubs? Let’s head to Station 1- The Vital Signs of Matter.
